“When the plant does not have enough moisture and can’t get nutrients out of the soil because of the drought, you can’t get a top yield. I use Crop Fuel® to bridge these difficult periods and to satisfy the plant’s needs. So far I have had good experiences with this.”

Herman Mensen from Tweede Exloermond, The Netherlands, grows potatoes, sugarbeets and winterwheat. This past year, he sprayed Crop Fuel® on his winterwheat. The Crop Fuel® is sprayed together with the herbicide. Following this application he spray another 2 times.  “Weather conditions in the Spring have been very dry for the past few years with the exception of 2012. This is ideal for working the ground and seeding the crop but this drought last long enough” according to Herman Mensen.

Last season, Herman Mensen grew winterwheat (cv Tabasco) and had a good yield of over 9.5 tons per hectare for a sandy soil. This year he has chosen for the same variety again because it appears to remain healthy during the growing season.

According to Herman Mensen: “Winterwheat is a nice crop to grow but needs enough moisture to develop. Tillering is very important during that period. When the plant does not have enough moisture and can’t get nutrients out of the soil because of the drought, you can’t get a top yield. I use Crop Fuel® to bridge these difficult periods and to satisfy the plant’s needs. So far I have had good experiences with this.
